Selective cuts that respect how each plant wants to grow. Shaped, not sheared. We prune ornamentals, hedges, and small trees at the right time for each species.

The wake-up. March through May
We clear what winter left behind, edge the beds, cut the first clean lines in the lawn, and top-dress with compost so everything ahead of us has something to eat. This is the visit that sets the tone for the whole year.

The hold. June through September
Portland goes dry fast. We raise the mowing height so roots stay shaded, keep an eye on the watering, deadhead the perennials, and hold growth in check. The goal is a yard that looks tended, not tortured.

The big one. October and November
Leaves come down by the yard-bag. We stay ahead of them week to week, cut back spent growth, and tuck the beds under fresh mulch before the rain settles in for good.

Every yard is different, so the real number comes out of the walk-through. But you should not have to guess at the range before you pick up the phone. Here is roughly where Portland yards land.
One-time spring cleanup
$375 to $850 Per visit · typical city lotWinter debris cleared, beds weeded and re-edged, spent growth cut back, everything hauled away the same day. Big lots and long-neglected yards run higher, and you hear that at the walk-through, not on the invoice.
Year-round care plan
$185 to $320 Per month · visits every other weekMowing, edging, weeding, and a tidy-up on a set schedule, billed the same in July as in January. Predictable on purpose, so there is nothing to brace for in the mailbox.
Fall leaf service
$95 to $175 Per visit · October and NovemberWe come back through as the leaves actually fall instead of once at the very end. Most yards need three to five passes. Bagging and haul-away are included in every pass.

Things people ask
on the first call.
Do I need to be home for visits?
No. Most clients are not. We just need gate access, and you get a note after every visit so you always know what happened while you were out.
Bark dust or mulch? What is the difference?
Bark dust is the Northwest classic: fine fir bark that looks sharp and holds down weeds. Compost mulch is uglier for a week but feeds the soil as it breaks down. Beds that need building up get mulch. Beds that just need to look finished get bark. Plenty of yards use both.
Do you haul away the debris?
Yes, always. Clippings, cutbacks, and leaves leave with us the same day. Haul-away is built into every price we quote, never a surprise add-on.
Can I book a one-time cleanup without a plan?
Absolutely. Spring and fall cleanups are our most common first job. Many folks try us once, like how the yard looks, and move to a seasonal plan later. No pressure either way.
Are you licensed and insured?
Honest answer: Mossline is a fictional company, so there is no license to cite. On a real site, this is where the owner's Oregon LCB license number and insurance details would live, in plain sight.
