Portland metro exterior cleaning

The most satisfying thing you'll see today.

Drag the handle. That line is what we do to driveways, siding, roofs, and decks across the Portland metro. Precise pressure, the right detergents, and a clean edge every time.

Empty credential slots, shown so you can see exactly where yours land. Pressure washing is not a CCB-licensed trade in Oregon, so this row holds bond and liability details rather than a license number. Nothing above states a credential that anyone actually holds, and the Google rating above it is sample data for demonstration, not a real listing.

What we clean

Every exterior surface, the right way.

High pressure is a tool, not a default. We match the method to the material: soft wash for siding and roofs, surface cleaners for concrete, careful hand work where it counts.

House soft wash

Low pressure and a biodegradable detergent mix lift algae, mildew, and grime off siding without forcing water behind it. Safe for vinyl, fiber cement, and painted wood.

Driveway and concrete

Rotary surface cleaners strip embedded dirt, tire marks, and moss in even passes, so you get one uniform finish instead of wand stripes. Edges detailed by hand.

Roof moss treatment

Portland roofs grow moss. We remove what lifts safely by hand and brush, then apply a treatment that keeps it from coming back. No high pressure on shingles, ever.

Deck and fence restore

Gentle pressure and a wood-safe brightener pull the gray weathering off cedar and pressure-treated lumber, prepping the surface for stain or sealer.

Gutter brightening

Those black vertical streaks on your gutters are oxidation and road film. A dedicated gutter cleaner and hand scrubbing bring back the original white.

Storefronts and commercial

Sidewalks, entries, dumpster pads, and awnings on a recurring schedule, worked around your business hours. First impressions are a maintenance item.

Why BrightWalk

Pressure is easy. Precision is the job.

Anyone can rent a machine. Knowing the PSI that cleans concrete but etches cedar, the mix that kills moss but spares your hostas, that is what you are hiring.

  • Surface-matched pressureEvery material gets its own pressure, tip, and detergent plan before the first pass.
  • Plant and pet safe processWe pre-wet landscaping, use biodegradable detergents, and rinse everything down after.
  • Flat, written quotesYou approve the price before we unload a single hose. No surprise add-ons at the door.
  • Walkthrough before we leaveYou inspect every surface with us. If a spot is not right, we fix it on the same visit.

The right pressure, by surface

Concrete and pavers2,500 to 3,500 PSI
Wood decks and fences500 to 1,200 PSI
Vinyl and fiber cement sidingSoft wash, under 500 PSI
Composition roofsNo pressure. Treatment only

Typical working ranges. Every job starts with a test patch in a low-visibility spot.

The person behind the pressure washer

Owner and operator, one-person shop Owner name

BrightWalk is small on purpose. The person who walks your property and writes your quote is the same person running the surface cleaner on job day. No sales rep, no rotating subcontractors, no crew you have never met standing in your driveway.

Portland weather teaches you things a manual will not: moss grows back if you only knock it down, cedar goes fuzzy the moment you push too hard, and the shady north wall needs a different plan than the sunny south one. That judgment is what you are actually hiring.

Surface guide

Pick your surface. We know its weak spot.

Swipe through the surfaces we clean most in the Portland metro, and what each one actually needs.

Driveways

Moss in the expansion joints, oil near the garage, black algae film everywhere else. Surface-cleaned in overlapping passes for one even tone.

Siding

North-facing walls grow green in our climate. Soft wash dissolves the growth at the root instead of blasting the paint off with it.

Roofs

Moss shortens a roof's life by lifting shingles and holding water. Hand removal plus treatment, never high pressure on composition shingles.

Decks

Gray, slick cedar comes back to warm wood tone with low pressure and a brightener. Ready for stain in a few dry days.

Fences

Fence lines collect moss on the shady side and dust on the road side. Cleaned in sections so the finish stays consistent panel to panel.

Patios and walkways

Pavers, aggregate, and flagstone each take different pressure. Joints re-sanded on request after cleaning.

How a job runs

Four steps. Zero guesswork.

Walk and quote

We look at every surface with you, note problem areas, and hand you a flat written price. Most quotes take under twenty minutes.

Protect and pretreat

Plants get pre-wet and covered where needed, outlets get sealed, and detergents go on first so the wash does the work, not raw pressure.

Wash with the right tool

Surface cleaner on flatwork, soft wash on siding, hand brushes on delicate spots. Pressure matched to the material, every pass overlapped.

Rinse and walkthrough

Everything gets a final rinse, windows included. Then you walk the job with us before we pack a single hose.

How pricing works

No mystery quotes. Sample pricing for demonstration

Exterior cleaning is priced by surface, square footage, and how far it got away from you. Here is the range most Portland metro jobs land in, so you know before you pick up the phone whether we are in your budget. The number you approve in writing is the number you pay.

Driveway and walkway $185 to $350 A typical two-car driveway plus the front walk, surface cleaned in overlapping passes with the edges detailed by hand. Sample range
House siding soft wash $325 to $650 One or two story home, roughly 1,200 to 2,400 square feet of wall. Gutter exteriors brightened at the same time cost less than a separate trip. Sample range
Deck or fence restore $200 to $475 Low pressure wash plus wood brightener, priced by square footage and how gray the boards went. Stain and sealer quoted separately. Sample range
Roof moss treatment $450 to $900 Driven by roof pitch, footprint, and how much moss lifts by hand. No pressure touches composition shingles at any price. Sample range
Every figure on this page is sample pricing for demonstration on a concept site, not a quote and not a real company's rate card. Steep slopes, restricted water access, and heavy oil staining move a real number. On your build these become your ranges, your minimums, and your service area. Minimum job price slot: $000
